Handmade, using production methods that have been virtually unchanged in the last 150 years, Edradour 10 years old is a sherry bomb. Aged for a decade in a combination of Oloroso sherry & bourbon casks, this single malt is well balanced. On the nose, it is roasted nuts, dried fruits, cranberries, fruit-cake, sea salt and sugar almonds. On the palate, delicious honey notes are followed by fruity custard, hints of toffee, apple strudel and balanced with toasted oak

Talisker 10 Year Old is bottled at a very particular 45.8% abv. As for its other characteristics Nose – Sweet peaty smoke with a whiff of iodine Color – Golden Taste – Neat, Talisker tastes sweeter than it smells. It has a heavy mouthfeel, full of smoke and iodine, with a peppery finish. It tastes better than it may sound. If you like peat this expression of Talisker will reward you.

Bowmore 12yo has a place in many hearts as Islay's 'medium-peated' malt. A pronounced iodine character with plenty of pepper, the current 12yo bottling is a welcome return to the classic Bowmores of the 1960s and '70s, with the emphasis on tropical fruit and smoke. A deserved runner-up in our Whisky of the Year 2014-15 blind tasting. Nose - Subtle lemon and honey, balanced beautifully by Bowmore's trademark peaty smokiness. Palate - Sweet and delicious heather honey and gentle peat smoke. Finish - The long, mellow finish.

This Laphroaig has been distilled the same way today as when it was invented 0ver 75 years ago. Malted barley is dried over a peat fire formed from peat only found on Islay. Matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for no less than ten years developing hints of seaweed, sweet smoky malted barley and a bold, rich flavour. Nose: Huge smoke, seaweedy, “medicinal”, with a hint of sweetness. Taste: Surprising sweetness with hints of salt and layers of peatiness. Finish: Lingering.
